How to read your Tax Credit Certificate

Your Tax Credit Certificate lists your yearly tax credits, your standard rate cut-off point and your USC bands, split between employments if you have more than one. Check that the credits match your situation and that the cumulative basis applies, then compare with the figures on your payslip.

Steps

myAccount > PAYE Services > Manage your tax for the current year > View Tax Credit Certificate.
Check civil status and the list of credits.
Check the rate band allocation across employments.
If something is wrong, update it in Manage your tax; a new RPN goes to your employer.
